Rooms & Cottages
Wanaka Homestead Lodge & Cottages has a choice of B & B accommodation or self-catering cottages. The Lodge offers five bedrooms, accommodating ten guests. Each bedroom has ensuite facilities, fine bed linen, a small fridge, a smart TV, and a writing desk. Ruby Cottage is an option for families, couples or small groups. Lismore Cottage welcomes families and small groups. Cottages have full self-catering kitchens, spacious open plan dining and lounge areas, Smart TVs, bathtubs and showers. Radiant underfloor heating is available. The master bedroom in each Cottage has French doors opening to the courtyard. Use of outside wood fire and BBQ facilities is available.
Seasonal Local Food
The Lodge stay includes a continental and/or cooked breakfast which is seasonally driven & locally sourced. Local food and wine will satisfy the taste buds. Pears and apples are free for picking from the Station's surviving orchard.
Activities & Relaxation
Guests have use of the outside facilities, a full laundry, and a ski storage & drying room. Summer is a perfect time to be on the lake. The tour desk can organise local activities including fishing, lake cruises, jet boating, yacht charters and kite surfing. Mountain bikes are available for hire. A ski-lodge styled lounge with couches surrounds the Homesteads' fire hearth. Guests can relax in the outdoor hot tub. Nearby is Wanaka Station Park with a children's playground, giant sequoias, and a walnut tree.
Location and Transport
Wanaka Homestead Lodge & Cottages is near Lake Wanaka and the Wanaka Tree. It is an easy stroll to Wanaka township. It is only 20 km from the ski areas of Cardrona, Treble Cone and Snow Farm. Queenstown is 65 km away. Wanaka is a 5-hour drive from Christchurch, a 1.5-hour drive from Haast on the West Coast, a 38-minute drive from Cromwell and a 3.5-hour drive from Dunedin. Towering redwoods and a rose arbor featuring heirloom roses popular in the early 1900s will lead you down to the shores of Wanaka Lake.

Wanaka Homestead welcomes just 21 guests. All have use of the outside facilities, full laundry, ski storage & drying room. Tea & Coffee are complimentary.
